Sponsor A Triathlete Fundraiser for Spay/Neuter West Tennessee
Rescue/Humane Organizations can help raise funds for a Spay/Neuter transport vehicle to benefit 26 counties in West Tennessee and receive 20% of their profits for their own group!!!
- The triathlon is scheduled for Sunday, May 20, 2007.
- Each county in the West Tennessee region is represented by a triathlete or relay team (1-Biker, 1-Swimmer, 1-Runner).
Your rescue/humane group may know someone who would like to represent your group and your county; or the West TN Animal Coalition can assign a triathlete to your group. Multiple groups in one county can all be represented by the same triathlete or if available, three groups in the same county can split a relay team. It would be best if your group could get an athlete(s) from your own county, but if you don’t feel that’s possible, we can assign one to you from Memphis. - Membership in the coalition is NOT a requirement for your organization to participate.
The goal of the fundraiser is to collect funds to spay and neuter the animals in West Tennessee, bringing us closer to West Tennessee becoming a true No-Kill Region. - Your rescue/humane group can receive 20% of the funds collected for your athlete(s).
If your group sends out the letters to sponsor your triathlete using your database, your group will receive 20% of the funds collected as a fundraiser for your group. There will be two letters sent together to your database: 1) a letter from the West Tennessee Animal Coalition requesting sponsorship of the triathlete and your organization in (your county). 2) a letter from the triathlete requesting individuals and companies to send money to the coalition on behalf of your organization. - Two ways to participate.
Option 1: Your group sends out the letters to sponsor your triathlete using your database and your postage.
Option 2: The West Tennessee Animal Coalition sends the letters to names you supply to us and we will pay for the postage. Limit 75 names.
Either way, your group will receive 20% of the funds collected as a fundraiser for your group. - Bring an adoptable pet and your group’s sign for photographs with the triathlete who represented your group.
You can make a sign, if you don’t have one. We may also be setting up an information booth where your adoptable pet can be available for adoption and for you to distribute brochures, etc. for your organization. The photographs will be used for thank you letters and for future advertising for funding to spay/neuter West Tennessee.

Contact your local High School or your area runners club. Relay teams (1 Biker, 1 Swimmer, 1 Runner) are fine. You will be responsible for printing their letter to mail to your database.>>> Do you need us to assign your group a triathlete?
We'd like every county represented, so let us know if you need us to assign a triathlete to your group.>>> All money collected for this fundraiser should be made payable to West Tennessee Animal Coalition.
If your organization is participating, the coalition will write your organization a check for 20% of the money collected for your triathlete.>>> Any money collected from this fundraiser will be distributed as follows:
